Register for your 2026 Tax Return / Tax Refund

Claim your NZ Tax Refund or register to file your Tax Return by completing the following online application form. You will need a copy of your IRD number and NZ drivers licence (or other approved photo ID) in order to complete an online application. Most IRD Tax Refunds for 2026 will be released from June onwards.

If you don't have a NZ drivers licence you will be asked to upload or attach a copy of approved photo ID.
